Front Projection Screens
Nowadays we can find dozens of different projection screens , each one made with different materials and colors, therefore with different characteristics, particular features that if we know how to take advantage of them, can offer us a better result in the images to be observed. The ideal projection screen is the one that best adapts to the characteristics of the projection room. Factors such as the instrument that will project the image, the distance between the projector and the screen, the characteristics of the projector and the luminosity of the place must be taken into account.
A projector screen can be white, pearl or semi-silver, among others, and the result presented by each of these is very different. For example: if the surface is white, the blacks and dark colors will be very intense but the light colors will look pale. If we use a semi-silver or glass screen, we run a great risk of the colors being distorted, which can result in a somewhat poor presentation. That is why we emphasize that without being a rule, the almost ideal projector screens are those with a matte finish, since this correctly regulates the intensity and definition of the image in proportion to the color.
Among the most common types of projection screens are: manual, electric, tripod, rear projection screens, portable, foldable, special whiteboards, interactive and ceiling-mounted.
